Everest Base Camp Trek
Experience the legendary Everest Base Camp Trek -walk through Sherpa villages, cross suspension bridges and reach 5,364m in the heart of the Himalayas. 14 days from Kathmandu.
Overview
One of the most well-known and iconic trekking routes in the world is the Everest Base Camp Trek, which takes place in Nepal's Khumbu region. With stunning views of the world's highest mountains, such as Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam, the walk passes through breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, traditional Sherpa communities, and Buddhist temples.
You take a plane from Kathmandu to Lukla, a tiny mountain airport, where you begin your trekking adventure. The UNESCO World Heritage Site Sagarmatha National Park, where the trail winds, is home to a wide variety of plants and animals, such as snow leopards, Himalayan thars, and musk foxes.
You have to trek through the natural landscape, travel steep inclines, and cross multiple suspension bridges over the thundering rivers. Additionally, you will go through traditional Sherpa communities, such as Tengboche, which is home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, one of the most significant monasteries in the area, and Namche Bazaar, which serves as the centre of the Khumbu region.
