Overview
The Langtang region is a trekker's paradise, offering some of the most spectacular views of the Himalayas. Located in the northern part of Nepal, closer to Kathmandu and bordering Tibet, the region is protected as Langtang National Park and is home to a number of high peaks including Langtang Lirung (7,246m). The trek from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi offers beautiful landscapes and a chance to visit the Langtang valley, also known as the valley of glaciers.
As you trek further, you will have the opportunity to climb to Chorki-Ri and take in panoramic views of mountains such as Langtang Ri, Langtang Himal, Langsisa, and Ganjala Peak. Along the way, you will also get a glimpse into the Tibetan Buddhist culture and lifestyle of the local people, and have the chance to explore rhododendron forests. The Langtang region is a unique blend of natural beauty and rich culture, making it a must-see destination for trekkers.
