Lobuche Peak Climbing with EBC
Conquer Lobuche Peak at 6,119m alongside the iconic Everest Base Camp Trek. A challenging 17 Day Nepal mountaineering expedition with breathtaking Khumbu glacier views.
Overview
Lobuche is a Nepalese mountain which lies close to Khumbu Glacier and is one of the popular climbing destinations. There are two main peaks, Lobuche East and Lobuche West. Lobuche East is considered as trekking pass situated at 6,119m and Lobuche West is considered as expedition peak situated at 6,145m.
Although Lobuche East Peak is not a very technical mountain, the summit demands a good number of physical effort as it is a challenging peak, unlike another famous climbing peak, the island peak (6189M) near the region.
Climbing to Lobuche East Peak offers a scenic beauty of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Tawoche, Cholatse, and many other peaks along with a valley down there.
Many people chose to trek Lobuche along with the Everest Base Camp(EBC) trek to experience adventure and beauty at a same time. The trek usually last for 16 – 18 days. Initially it begins with the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a beautiful village in Khumbu region. The actual trek begins from the Lukla all the way to EBC and Lobuche.
The trek will be along the side ways of hills and mountain passing many bridges, monasteries, village enjoying the landscape. In Namche bajar, which will be our second night of the trek, we stop for a day to acclimatize and visit a famous landmark of that place on the acclimatization day. Also there will be other stops as well along in the trail.
Once a trekker reaches EBC, they will get enough time to acclimatize as well as prepare for the expedition to the Lobuche peak. Also, a training will be provided before an expedition. Usually, the climb to peak will take two days, first night spending at the Lobuche high camp.
